Our Story

The Urban Youth Harp Ensemble was founded in 2000 by Atlanta Symphony Orchestra harpist Elisabeth Remy and music educator Roselyn Lewis. This nonprofit organization began with just two students, aiming to provide at-risk youth with the opportunity to learn the harp, a complex and beautiful instrument. Today, the program has expanded to serve 90 students in middle and high school, fostering a love for music and creativity.
