Our Story

Founded in 2005, Urban Tilth is dedicated to cultivating a sustainable, healthy, and just local food system in Richmond, California. By inspiring, hiring, and training local residents, the organization fosters a deep connection to the land through community gardens and urban farms.

Impact

Urban Tilth delivers free organic produce to over 200 families, including many seniors and disabled residents, through the Farmers to Families CSA program. Youth engage in hands-on learning through the After School at the Farm program.
