The Urban League of Middle Tennessee is a historic civil rights organization founded in 1968, dedicated to economic empowerment, equality, and social justice. Based in Nashville, ULMT collaborates with community leaders, policymakers, and corporate partners to elevate the standards of living for African Americans and other historically underserved groups. Through the development of social programs and authoritative public policy research, ULMT advocates for policies that close the equality gap.

In the 2023 fiscal year, ULMT served over 3,200 individuals in Economic Empowerment, 413 in Housing & Community Development, 290 in Youth & Education, 475 in Health & Quality of Life, and 1,300 in Social Justice & Civic Engagement.
