Our Story

Founded in 2012 by Alecia K. Eugene-Chasten, Urban Advocates & Achievers (UAA) emerged from a deep commitment to educational equity. The organization addresses the disparities faced by students and families of color, particularly in high-poverty areas across the United States. UAA's holistic approach empowers students and their families, aiming to dismantle the School-to-Prison Pipeline and create pathways to educational opportunities.

Impact

UAA focuses on 'Saving Educational Lives & Student Wellness' in the Promise Zone Areas and underserved regions of Sacramento County. By ensuring students achieve proficiency in key academic areas and providing access to career training, UAA fosters self-sufficiency and economic sustainability.
