Our Story
For years, Utica’s iconic Uptown Theatre sat vacant and rundown, yearning for restoration. In 2017, a dedicated team of Utica natives and entertainment industry veterans formed the Uptown Theater for Creative Arts Inc. (UTCA) to breathe new life into this treasured landmark. The community's overwhelming support and enthusiasm have reaffirmed the shared vision of growth and change. Together, the goal is to transform the Uptown into a vibrant entertainment destination that serves as an anchor for the Uptown neighborhood.
