Our Story

For over 25 years, Upper Room Kansas City has been dedicated to uplifting urban core neighborhoods by providing essential educational programs for youth. Established in 1997 in a repurposed space above a Catholic church on Swope Parkway, the organization began its journey by addressing the community's pressing needs. With a mission to raise $1.5 million for renovations, Upper Room KC has transformed a once-neglected facility into a vibrant learning center that has welcomed thousands of students and volunteers.

Impact

In the last two years, contributions have enabled Upper Room KC to serve 177,347 free meals, distribute 3,400 books to children, and provide 396,947 hours of quality education.
