Our Story
The Uplift Outreach Center was founded by Spartanburg resident and activist Eric Nolley, who envisioned a safe haven for homeless and at-risk LGBTQ+ youth. Recognizing the lack of resources in the area, Nolley, with the support of the local PFLAG chapter, organized the first annual Rainbow Masquerade Ball in May 2019. This successful event raised over $13,000, enabling the launch of Upstate South Carolina's first LGBTQ+ outreach center. The center thrives on community support, providing essential services to those in need.
