At 93 years of age, Mrs. Opal Lee continues to lead significant projects such as the Annual Fort Worth Juneteenth Celebration and the urban farming initiative. Under her guidance, The Community Food Bank has risen from the ashes of an arson fire, providing essential food supplies to those in need. Mrs. Lee personally delivers food boxes to the elderly and shut-ins, ensuring that no one is left behind.
