Uniting Resilience was founded by Monique "Muffie" Mousseau and Felipa De Leon, who have dedicated their lives to advocating for the rights and protections of Native Two-Spirit LGBTQ individuals. Since 2019, the organization has worked tirelessly to address the lack of legal protections for this community, leading to the enactment of marriage equality and hate crime laws on tribal lands.
