Our Story
Founded in 1897, United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County has a rich history of advancing the common good. Originally established as the Charity Organization Society, it evolved into the Lincoln Community Chest in 1923 and became United Way in 1976. This organization mobilizes the caring power of the community to improve lives across Lincoln and Lancaster County.
