Our Story

Founded in 1923, United Way of Kenosha County began as the Community Chest, uniting eight agencies to raise funds for community needs. Over the decades, it has transformed into a leader in community impact, aligning with the national United Way movement in 1973. Today, UWKC focuses on creating opportunities for a better life for all residents of Kenosha County.

Impact

In 2023, UWKC supported 601 children through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and assisted 925 taxpayers in receiving $1.63 million in refunds via the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
