Our Story

Established in 1980, United Way of Central Florida has a rich history of serving the community, beginning with the Greater Lakeland area in 1944. Over the years, the organization has expanded its reach to include Polk, Hardee, and Highlands counties, making it the largest United Way in Florida. By focusing on education, income, and health, UWCF aims to build a better quality of life for all residents.
