Our Story

United to Learn was founded by Abigail Williams, inspired by her journey through public education and her experiences as a private school parent and public school volunteer. Recognizing the silos that exist across Dallas, U2L aims to harness the city's abundant talent and resources to create equitable opportunities for all students. By addressing resource gaps in public education, U2L believes in fostering a more prosperous community for everyone.

Impact

U2L partner schools have demonstrated remarkable literacy achievements, with a 39% growth in 3rd-grade reading scores over five years, surpassing the performance of Dallas ISD, county, and state averages. Even amidst the challenges posed by COVID-19, U2L schools experienced only limited regression, retaining approximately 50% of their pre-pandemic gains.
