Our Story
Founded by Elly Jansen, OBE, in 1959, the Richmond Fellowship began in England to provide a model of residential community care for individuals facing mental and emotional challenges. In 1968, the Richmond Fellowship of America was established to support emotionally disturbed adolescents and adults. Oak Hill House opened in 1970, offering group care for troubled youth. With the recent expansion of U.S. Fellowship-Florida in 2019, the organization continues to adapt and grow, ensuring that youth receive the support they need.
