Established in 1783, Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village in New Gloucester, Maine, is home to the only active Shaker community in the world. The Shakers embody 247 years of values, philosophies, and traditions, welcoming new members and engaging in public outreach.

The Shaker Herb House Cultural & Traditional Arts Center will provide experiential learning in herbalism, agriculture, culinary arts, and traditional crafts, reaching nearly 100,000 students within 60 miles of Shaker Village.
