Our Story

The United Pioneer Home was established in 1953 in Luck, Wisconsin, as a pioneering effort by local churches to create a skilled nursing care facility for the elderly. As the first assisted living facility in northwest Wisconsin, it remains the only stand-alone, not-for-profit skilled nursing home in Polk County. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to better serve seniors, including assisted living and independent living options.

Impact

For over 70 years, the United Pioneer Home has positively impacted the lives of countless seniors in the community. Innovative programs like 'Cycling Without Age' reconnect residents with nature and their local community, enhancing their quality of life.
