Our Story

Founded in September 1902 by a dedicated group of women from the Methodist Churches of the Grand Rapids District, the United Methodist Community House (UMCH) has been a cornerstone of community support for over a century. Initially established to provide settlement work, UMCH has evolved to meet the diverse needs of the community, offering vital services such as child development, youth programs, senior services, and food access initiatives.
