Our Story

Established in 1899, the Arkansas Methodist Orphanage was founded by compassionate Methodists dedicated to the care of orphaned and dependent children. As societal views on orphanages evolved, so did the mission of Methodist Family Health. Renamed Methodist Children’s Home, it transformed into a comprehensive residential treatment system, expanding its services across Arkansas. In 2001, the organization founded Methodist Behavioral Hospital, Inc., and in 2003, both entities united as Methodist Family Health, enhancing the continuum of care for those in need.
