Our Story

Founded by Shameka Huff in 2021, United for Baby emerged from a heartfelt need to support pregnant foster youth. After welcoming several young mothers into her home, it became clear that while food and formula were accessible, essential supplies like diapers were not. Shameka took action, ensuring these young families had the resources they needed to care for their infants. Recognizing the ongoing need for support, United for Baby was established to provide a reliable resource for families in Kershaw County and beyond.
