Our Story

Founded in 1948 as Spastic Aid, United Ability has evolved to serve individuals with various disabilities. Originally known as United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham, the organization relocated to a 20-acre campus in 2001, expanding its mission to provide comprehensive services. In 2017, the name changed to United Ability, reflecting a commitment to all individuals with disabilities.

Impact

United Ability has filled over 1,160 community employment opportunities and served more than 5,540 individuals and families through its innovative programs.
