Founded in 2008 by a dedicated group of volunteers, UNIDOS Nicaragua is committed to transforming the lives of children in Los Cedros, Nicaragua. The organization primarily supports Colegio Cristiano Havila, a private school established in 2005 to provide quality education to the poorest families in the region. With a typical household income of just $7,000 per year, many families struggle to afford basic school necessities. Havila has grown from 35 students to approximately 375, offering education from preschool through high school.

UNIDOS Nicaragua plays a crucial role in the sustainability of Havila, providing 70-75 percent of the school’s operating funds annually. This support enables the school to admit and nurture students from low-income families, significantly impacting their educational opportunities and future prospects.
