Our Story
The vision for Underground Coffee International emerged in a small bakery nestled in the Himalayas, where two missionaries discussed the potential of coffee cultivation in a region often closed to traditional missionary work. Coffee became a legitimate reason for outreach, opening doors to share life and faith with villagers who had never encountered the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Upon returning to the United States, the desire to continue mission work in Asia grew, alongside the ambition to create a market for the coffee produced by rural farmers. This initiative not only supports missionaries but also provides a sustainable income source for impoverished farmers, addressing both their spiritual and physical needs.
Underground Coffee International is dedicated to delivering life-changing coffee for both consumers and growers. Our missionaries engage with unreached communities, teaching them how to cultivate organic, ethically sourced, high-quality Arabica coffee. In underdeveloped regions, organic farming is not just a trend; it is a sustainable and cost-effective solution for local farmers.
By equipping local partners with the knowledge to grow quality coffee, the organization fosters mutual benefits for farmers and consumers alike. At its core, Underground Coffee International is about life transformation, using coffee as a means to connect and share the gospel with those who have yet to hear it.
