Umoja Partnership: A Mission of Unity and Empowerment

Founded in 2007, Umoja Partnership is dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children in Kenya. Established by a coalition of faith communities in Indianapolis and Kenyan congregations, Umoja means 'unity' in Kiswahili, reflecting the collaborative spirit of this initiative. The organization addresses the urgent needs of children affected by poverty and loss through education, nourishment, and empowerment.

Impacting Lives Through Education and Support

Umoja Partnership has made a significant impact, providing daily meals to nearly 5,000 students and tuition support for over 700 secondary school students. Empowerment programs have reached more than 2,300 youth, leading to increased graduation rates and improved academic performance.
