Our Story

Founded in 1997 by W. Franklyn Richardson, Ujamaa Community Development Corporation (Ujamaa CDC) is dedicated to fostering economic and community development. Named after the principle of cooperative economics from Kwanzaa, Ujamaa CDC provides essential programs in children and youth development, educational enrichment, health awareness, housing, and workforce development. With strong ties to local municipalities, Ujamaa CDC collaborates with various initiatives to enhance community support.

Impact

Since 2011, Ujamaa CDC has positively impacted children and families through its Grace After School and Learning Center (GASP) Program, promoting self-identity and educational excellence.
