Our Story

The U.S. Chess Center Foundation is dedicated to promoting self-confidence, social skills, and academic success through chess education. Since 1992, this nonprofit has taught chess to approximately 40,000 students across over 150 schools in the National Capital Region, creating a space for students to connect as friends and equals over the chessboard.

With a focus on academic and life skills, the U.S. Chess Center has helped students achieve remarkable success, including winning over 50 state and national championship titles and earning prestigious scholarships.
