Twirl to the World Foundation

Our Story

Since 2009, Twirl to the World Foundation has been dedicated to uplifting the LGBTQ+ community in Charlotte. What began as a simple event collecting teddy bears for children with HIV/AIDS has blossomed into a significant force for good. Over the past 16 years, the foundation has gathered over 7,300 stuffed animals and toys, while donating more than $517,000 to local LGBTQ+/Ally charities and programs, including the Twirl Assistance Program (TAP).

Our Impact

The Twirl Assistance Program (TAP) provides essential support to LGBTQ adults in the Charlotte metro area, offering mental healthcare, food assistance, medical care, transportation, and financial literacy. This program has been the beneficiary of our annual fundraising efforts for five consecutive years.
