About Twin Cities Women’s Choir

The Twin Cities Women’s Choir (TCWC) began its journey in August 1997 with a vision to empower women through the art of music. Starting with just 14 singers and a modest budget, the choir has blossomed into a vibrant community of over 200 members annually. In 2006, the choir expanded its reach with the formation of ENCORE!, a small ensemble dedicated to outreach performances. The establishment of the Twin Cities Girls’ Choir in 2014 further exemplified TCWC’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a love for music.

Impact Through Music

Since its inception, TCWC has registered over 2950 singers and hosted more than 364 performances, captivating an audience of over 14,750 individuals. The choir has commissioned over 35 original compositions for women’s voices and actively sponsors a contest for emerging female composers, ensuring that women’s voices are heard and celebrated.
