Our Story

Turn The Towns Teal® was founded by Gail MacNeil, a courageous survivor of ovarian cancer. After a decade-long battle, she initiated this national campaign in 2007 to raise awareness about the subtle symptoms and risk factors of ovarian cancer. What began in 20 towns in New Jersey has now expanded to all 50 states, Canada, and Bermuda, thanks to the dedication of volunteers.

Impact

The campaign has significantly increased awareness of ovarian cancer, leading to earlier detection and saved lives. Volunteers across the nation tie teal ribbons and distribute educational materials during National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in September, making a tangible difference in communities.

Why Donate?
