About Discovery Lab

Since 2007, Discovery Lab has been igniting the curiosity of children in Tulsa, initially as a museum without walls. In May 2013, the museum opened its first physical location in the Owen Park Recreation Center, welcoming over 130,000 children and families each year, including nearly 30,000 through outreach programs. In early 2022, the museum expanded to a 57,000-square-foot world-class facility in Gathering Place park, poised to transform educational experiences for Tulsa’s children and families.

Discovery Lab serves as a vital educational resource, providing outreach museum classes to local schools and organizations. The museum's exhibits and programming foster essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) as well as health and wellness.
