About Tulsa CASA
Tulsa CASA, established under Oklahoma law, is dedicated to advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the court system. Founded in 1977 by David Soukup, a juvenile court judge in Seattle, CASA has grown to include over 93,000 volunteers across 950 programs nationwide. In Oklahoma, 22 CASA programs serve children in 61 of the 77 counties, ensuring that every child has a voice.
Impact on the Community
Last year, 201 dedicated Tulsa CASA volunteers served 448 children across 232 cases, making a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable youth. However, many more children are still waiting for a CASA advocate to stand up for them.
