Our Story

The Tryon Creek Watershed Council was established in 1994 by passionate citizens committed to preserving their natural heritage. With 501(c)(3) status achieved in 2014, the Council focuses on restoring, protecting, and enhancing the ecological health of the Tryon Creek watershed, which flows through urban and natural areas in Portland and Lake Oswego.

Our Impact

During the 13th Annual Watershed Wide Event, 157 volunteers, including 58 youth, contributed to the local ecology by planting 747 native plants, removing invasive species from 0.9 acres, and cleaning up 12 bags of trash. This event highlights the community's dedication and the Council's significant impact.
