Our Story

In 2003, attorney Budd MacKenzie sought a positive way for his community to respond to the impending invasion of Iraq. Inspired by Greg Mortenson's work in Afghanistan, he raised funds to build a school in Lalander, Afghanistan. This initiative led to the establishment of Trust in Education in 2004, focusing on sustainable support and relationships with Afghan communities.

Impact

Trust in Education has grown from a single school serving 120 children to supporting over 1,250 children across 10 villages. The organization also provides vocational training, health care support, and economic development projects, significantly enhancing the quality of life for Afghan families.
