Our Story

The Trout and Salmon Foundation was established in 1969 by Elliott Donnelley, the first National Chair of Trout Unlimited. Initially linked with Trout Unlimited, it has evolved into an independent organization dedicated to supporting trout and salmon habitats without political advocacy.

Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded over 350 grants totaling more than $1.4 million, significantly enhancing cold water fish habitats.
