About The Alverno Senior Care Community

Founded in 1914 by the Sisters of St. Francis, The Alverno Senior Care Community has been a cornerstone of elderly care in Clinton, Iowa. Originally named Mount Alverno, this facility has evolved over the decades to meet the changing needs of the community. In 1971, a new building was established at 849 13th Avenue North, licensed for 125 residents, and renamed The Alverno Health Care Facility. Today, it stands as a testament to compassionate care, providing a range of services from long-term living to skilled nursing and rehabilitation.
