Our Story
In 1988, a group of thirty-five high school musicians from North Carolina's Triangle area united to form a symphony orchestra, guided by Principal Violist Hugh Partridge. This collaboration led to the establishment of the Triangle Youth Philharmonic, which has since evolved into a full symphony orchestra. The introduction of the jazz program in 2005 marked a significant milestone, allowing student musicians to perform at Raleigh's Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration. Over the years, Triangle Youth Music has partnered with esteemed organizations like the Cary Ballet and Jazz at Lincoln Center, enriching the musical journey of countless young talents.
