Founded in 1983 in Livermore, California, Tri-Valley CAREs emerged from the concerns of local residents living near the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. This organization is dedicated to monitoring nuclear weapons and environmental cleanup activities across the U.S. nuclear weapons complex, with a particular focus on the Livermore Lab and its surrounding communities.
