Our Unique Story
The Tri-State STEM+M School stands as a beacon of educational innovation in the heart of Appalachia. As the first dedicated STEM high school in the region, it welcomes students from Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky, breaking down geographic barriers to education. Founded by Dr. Howard and opened in Fall 2017, the school is accredited by the Ohio Department of Education and offers a free public education to Ohio students.
Utilizing student-directed learning methods and a mastery system of evaluations, the school fosters an environment of innovation, collaboration, and knowledge retention. Students have the unique opportunity to earn college credits from Ohio University or Marshall University while preparing for rewarding careers in STEM fields.
