Our Story

The Trent Hill Center for Children & Families was founded in 2015 by Scottie Hill, who returned to her hometown of Hartsville, SC, after working in New York. The center was established to address the pressing issues faced by children in the foster care system, particularly in light of alarming statistics regarding abuse and neglect. Named in honor of the founder's father, F. Trent Hill, Jr., the center embodies his legacy of kindness and support for children in need.

Impact

Providing 24/7 residential care for teens in foster care, the Trent Hill Center positively impacts over 140 residents across 18 counties, offering essential support for young adults transitioning out of foster care and daytime services for transient youth.
