Founded in 1976, Trees New York is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing New York City’s urban forest. In response to significant cutbacks in tree-related community services, this organization has mobilized volunteers to plant and care for trees across the city. With over 45 years of experience, Trees New York has trained more than 13,500 Citizen Pruners and engaged over 9,000 youth in tree stewardship.
