Our Story

Trees for Honolulu’s Future fulfills a critical function in enhancing the urban forest of O‘ahu. By building bridges among public and private organizations and local communities, this nonprofit works collaboratively to achieve mutual goals. The vision is a tree-filled island that preserves and enhances the quality of life, especially in the face of climate change.

Our Impact

The organization aims to achieve 35% canopy cover by 2035, addressing the current 20% canopy cover in Honolulu. Through various initiatives, community engagement is fostered, advocating for tree planting and care.
