Our Story

Born from the efforts of a teenager over 50 years ago, TreePeople inspires and supports the people of Southern California to come together to plant and care for trees, harvest the rain, and renew depleted landscapes. Through a unique model, TreePeople listens to, equips, and trains volunteers to green urban spaces and mountains.

Our Impact

TreePeople has inspired, engaged, and supported more than 3 million people to take action for our environment by planting and caring for trees in forests, mountains, parks, and neighborhoods.

Why Donate?

When communities face extreme heat, TreePeople plants and distributes shade trees. In times of climate emergencies like fires, droughts, and floods, sustainable solutions are designed and implemented to protect and restore natural resources.
