Our Story

Founded in 2001 by Drs. Richard and Judith Brown, Tree of Lives began as a mission to support the Holy Family HIV/AIDS Center in Kenya. Established by the First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk, this initiative has grown to encompass various programs aimed at raising HIV/AIDS awareness and providing essential support to African families. In 2020, Tree of Lives Kenya was officially recognized by the Kenyan government, allowing for a more robust collaboration in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Our Impact

Tree of Lives has made significant strides in improving the lives of those affected by HIV/AIDS. Each year, over 5,000 HIV+ patients benefit from our services, with 60 children finding a loving home in the Joy Village. Additionally, 1,300 food packets are distributed annually, and 150 patients receive comprehensive medical care, ensuring a healthier future for our community.
