The Traveling Team

Our Story

The Traveling Team has a rich history rooted in the Student Volunteer Movement of the 1800s. Founded by John R. Mott and Robert E. Speer, this movement inspired Steve Shadrach to establish a campus ministry called Student Mobilization, leading to the creation of The Traveling Team in 1999. The organization focuses on mobilizing Christian college students on secular campuses to engage in global missions, following the Great Commission.

Our Impact

With over 5,146 meetings conducted, The Traveling Team has reached 497,905 students and successfully paired 15,267 students with mission agencies, significantly increasing awareness and participation in global missions.
