Our Story

Transplanting Traditions supports food sovereignty in the refugee community by providing access to land, education, and opportunities for refugee farmers. Located in the Piedmont of North Carolina, the farm serves as a cultural community space where refugee adults and youth can come together, recreate home, and build healthy communities.

Impact

Currently, Transplanting Traditions works with 155 refugee adults and children, offering 8 acres of farmland. The organization has supported farmers in earning over $1 million in total from farm income and has grown over 600,000 lbs of produce to date.
