Our Story

In 2004, a Tulsa family returned from mission work at a Denver shelter and recognized the lack of resources for homeless families in Tulsa. This realization led to the formation of a committee by First Presbyterian of Tulsa, which explored community needs and similar programs. In 2009, Transitional Living Centers of Oklahoma, Inc. was established as a nonprofit, and in 2010, Lindsey House opened its doors to mothers with children experiencing homelessness. The organization moved to a new facility in 2020, increasing its capacity to support families.

Impact

Lindsey House has empowered over 120 families towards independence by providing essential life skills, financial literacy, and stable housing.
