Building A Retirement Home
Academic Financial Aid
Housing Support

Our Story

Forty-nine years ago, Camlien Thi Tran arrived in Northampton, Massachusetts, as a young Vietnamese refugee. With a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, she built a new life in the USA. In 1999, she met her husband, Robert Henry Gienger, a mechanical engineer with a passion for contracting and flying. Together, they established the Tran Gienger Family Charity Foundation in 2022 to support those in need, particularly impoverished Vietnamese children and elderly nuns.

Our Impact

The foundation currently focuses on building a retirement home for elderly Catholic nuns of the Dominican Sisters of Thai Binh in Vietnam. Long-term goals include providing academic financial aid and housing support for impoverished Vietnamese children attending school both in the USA and abroad.
