Founded by Matt Gerson, a childhood cancer survivor, Tracy’s Kids was established to help young cancer patients cope with the emotional stress of their illness through art therapy. Since its inception at Georgetown University Hospital in 1991, the organization has expanded to multiple locations, offering free art therapy to children and their families.
Impact
Tracy’s Kids serves approximately 13,000 individuals annually, including over 5,000 pediatric patients and their families. The organization has granted more than $6 million to hospital partners, providing essential art therapy that helps children navigate the challenges of cancer and blood disorders.
