Our Story
Trabajadores Unidos de Washington DC (TUWDC) began in 2005 when community members reached out to day laborers. This grassroots effort evolved into a coalition advocating for the rights of immigrants and low-income workers. In 2013, day laborers established TUWDC as an independent nonprofit to continue this vital work.

TUWDC empowers workers to fight against wage theft, discrimination, and unsafe working conditions, fostering leadership through civic engagement.
