Our Story
Toms River Nursery School was established in 1945 as a non-profit parent cooperative, founded by the parents of 11 students who believed in the power of collaboration between parents and teachers. This vision has shaped a nurturing environment where children thrive through play, social interaction, and active parent participation. Over the years, the school has evolved from various locations to its current facility, purchased in 1978, which was built through the generous contributions of community members offering their skills in plumbing, electrical work, and legal assistance.
Today, Toms River Nursery School boasts five classrooms and a playground designed for children six and under, providing a safe and stimulating environment for early learning. With only three directors in its 78-year history and a dedicated teaching staff, the school prides itself on its stability and commitment to the families it serves.
