Our Story

The SPCA of Tompkins County, established in 1902 in Ithaca, NY, is dedicated to ending cruelty and providing safe shelter for unwanted, abandoned, and homeless animals. Transitioning to a no-kill shelter in 2001, it has achieved a remarkable 100% save rate for healthy dogs and cats.

Our Impact

Each year, nearly 2000 animals find loving homes through the SPCA, while the organization performs close to 2000 spay and neuter surgeries for low-income community members.
